If I could give less I would, I been calling for i dunno almost year now try to get information so I can enroll, not one person has given me a call back, but yet they'll talk trash on miller motte and every other surrounding schools, but yet the other school will call me back. Like seriously.. bout to take my money to miller motte. It ridiculous how nobody wants to pick their phone up over there.
This is a wonderful school. Great faculty and staff. Easy to sign up and they really care about their students. I can always find a safe and quiet space to do school work. I just wish the coffee situation was better.
"We dont accomodate children, go sit in the cafeteria until were ready, and by the way we dont do our jobs either."
I started the process of admissions and enrollment 4 months ago. Since then I have had nothing but problems with this school. The counselors seem to be lost when it comes to new students. I specifically went to see a counselor to finish enrollment and was told everything was taken care of. After speaking with financial aid a couple weeks later I found out I wasn't fully admitted in the system. When previously I saw a counselor just for that. After speaking with a different counselor everything was corrected. I transferred from another college so I was making sure some credits transferred. I was told by a counselor that they wouldn't find out what credits will have been accepted until my first semester at the college. I didn't understand that logic. How exactly am I to know what classes to take if I didn't know what credits transferred? Doesn't make sense to me. After a month or so I got a letter in the mail from CCCC showing me only nine credits transferred. I wasn't happy with that since I had around 20+ credits from a former college. I understand they can't transfer everything but at least the basics. I decided to go see a counselor again and talk about classes and the letter I received. She honestly wasn't much of a help and told me to speak with a dean. I took her advice and found out the past 4 months was basically a waste. They wouldn't take most of my credits even with substituting some. The dean suggested I stay with my former college and finish up there or take classes at CCCC and transfer them to my former college and graduate that way. Here's the kicker all the classes I need to take are all online. They are also at other community college's around the area apparently. They also don't have tutoring in the degree I want and no clubs to offer help or advice. I felt like I wasted 4 months trying to attend this college when it's not worth it. I was better off sticking with my former college. It is online however there is online tutoring. I'm just curious on why a counselor never informed me about the classes pertaining to my degree when I went in their asking about them. I never once was shown how to sign up for classes or what classes you even need to take inorder to get the degree. The school seems to be money hungry and doesn't care if they rip students off when it comes to enrollment. I went months in advance before the next semester and it was wasted. I personally don't recommend this school at all.
I completed my placement exams around a week ago through the CCCC reps on Camp Lejeune to be sent to my home of record for when I get out of the military. I told them I was already going to be a part of late registration at the local school I'd be attending and stressed how important it was that they mail these scores asap. Well tomorrow on Dec 15th I have to go back in now and ask them to resend these scores because they just sent two copies of my English score and none of my math. A simple job that will now cost me time and gas. Thanks Coastal.
