I had heard nothing but bad things about this place. From rude employees to them failing you for stupid reasons on your road test. Which made me very nervous to take the test. Since taking my test and being there for several other reasons I had nothing but a great experience. Everyone I have had the pleasure of speaking with was nothing but helpful, patient, and kind. Wait can be long but you really can't blame that on the place itself. It all depends on when you go.
I decided to change my review on this page. Whatever the supervisors are doing keep it up. Initially I gave you guys a 1 star rating but 2 weeks ago I went there and the place has done a complete 360. Wait times are a little long but that's understandable. You apparently have new associates who are very informative, polite, and professional. Thank you for making a change for the better. For that you get 5 stars in my book.
To John Doe you are definitely a employee if anyone reads it they will also get the hint you are a worker at this DMV. This place stinks the employees are rude you guys never answer your phone you keep failing my son on his 3 point turn bc you guys can't get out of the car to see his front and back bumper are further out past the tires so unless you get out of the car to see he's not in the grass you will think he is and I've brought that up to them 3 times now. This is the worst DMV I've ever been too.
This DMV is by far the most inefficient and wasteful of any government run facility in existence. I set an appointment for a drivers test a month in advance, to get turned away because I got there on time and had to wait for my ticket to be called. Waiting 45 minutes after my appointment to be told that I can't take my test because it's too late past my appointment, when the entire reason I had to wait was due to their terrible appointment system. If I could leave zero stars, I would. If negative was an option, even better. It would be more easily handled and convenient to go to a completely different state for the same services.
I am with you. That person has to be an employee. The front desk lady has an attitude when you first walk in. When you bring your child to try for his/her permit or license they are already nervous. She don't make any any better. My daughter has been there twice just for the driving test and she had to wait over 2 hours when others came in way after her and was seen within 30 min. I have tried to call Raleigh to make a complaint and can't get pass the recording. And when you make an appointment you still have to sit and wait and you may not be able to be see your appointment time so thats a waste of time. The front desk lady is whom they need to start with. Everyone should call Raleigh and make a complaint this don't make no sense, but you can't get through to them either.
