Been requesting copies of Medicaid cards since the first of September. It’s now the end of November. Any time they actually return my messages, they only let the phone ring one time so they can hang up before I even get a chance to answer it. My son needs to see an ear nose and throat doctor but cannot get a referral because we can’t even get this social services office to tell us who our primary care doctor is.
One of the worst DSS I have ever experienced. We have requested a transfer for one county to another and it took them three months to get it done. We have called for a very long time and all they do is send us straight to voicemail. When we finally got our transfer we didn't even know we had to recertify and now we lost our stampd, and our child will have to go without food for awhile.
Terrible. Everything negative that anyone has said about this place is true. In my case, one day I have Medicaid, the next I don't. I receive no emails, letters, or call backs. 98% of the time I'm on the message loop hold 20-35 mins before hanging up. I'm 3 mos pregnant and have yet to receive care. I'm unwell and it's affecting my ability to work. I'm going to the Better Business Bureau and filing a complaint. I'll go to the news and newspaper if I have to. Maybe even City Hall. This is ridiculous.
I really would like to get the head of the department number or someone higher so I can report what they are doing not only to me but to others as well It is out of hand. People have familes that are struggling and they are playing around with everyone emotions.
Ive been here a lot and have NEVER had any problems with anyone. I'm always nice and respectful and don't give them any reason to be rude to me. If you go in there and have a chip on your shoulder of course they will be rude, It human nature to treat people they way they treat you. WORDS OF WISDOM!!!! Be nice and respectful and don't treat them bad, They will be nice back to you!!! Come On people!
I've never had such a hard time trying to reach someone before. I can NOT even get a hold of a person in the phone and I have called over 10 times and left 8 voice mails. They need to fix the way they work this office!
