I searched for a moving company and found J.E. Thomas&Sons. What a godsend! I called and talked to Beth, explained the situation. She was able to set up all the logistics, provide trucks, and men to load the trucks, etc.
JE Thomas & Sons moved us from NC to MD last week. We were more than satisfied with everything. They came to our house and packed everything carefully and nothing was broken or damaged. The whole family and staff were extremely nice and easy to deal with. They arrived at our new house in late afternoon and unpacked everything that same day, even though they had originally planned to unpack the next day. The guys on the truck were hardworking, friendly, and a pleasure to deal with. Last but not least, the price was very reasonable.
On the day of the move I was so nervous - being 800 miles away! But everything went smoothly. My daughter-in-law was so impressed with their professionalism and demeanor. So very polite. They moved every piece of furniture and all the boxes. She didn't have to lift a finger (almost)! And, did I mention she has a 1-year old? Imagine expecting this tiny woman with hands full with a baby having to move all that stuff?? These guys were just so exceptional. I wish I could thank them in person.
JE Thomas & Sons have moved my household twice now and I couldn't be happier! They are always professional and courteous. I wouldn't use anyone else. They also moved the business that I work for and did an excellent job.

I live in RI. My son and daughter-in-law live in NC. My son was recently deployed and had to leave the moving from a rental house to a new house in my daughter-in-law's hands. She had no family or friends to help with this move. So stressed!
