The Urgent Care side is a different story. I've been there twice. The first time was for an ear infection and I saw a wonderful Nurse Practitioner. She took great care of me. Yesterday I went in for abdominal pain after taking medication at home and trying to avoid going to the doctors. Well I "saw Dr. Speed." And by "saw her", I mean she opened the door and said she made me an appointment with GI who I needed to see. The tech checked my vitals and asked what was going on. She went and told Dr. Speed (I'm assuming) and then Dr. Speed made an appointment with GI for the next day for me. The problem is my pain was intense as was my nausea. She opened the door to my room and the GI nurse told me heres your appointment and an acid reducer come back tomorrow. The thing that was aggravating was the doctor never saw me, yet she tried to charge me for the visit. Luckily the front desk receptionist didn't charge me. I would never go and see this doctor again.

Went to visit Dr. Hallegado, she was thorough and actively listened to everything I had to say. I never felt like my concerns were ignored which were major negatives from almost every doctor I've visited on Long Island. The wait was a tad longer than my scheduled time but not terribly so (~15 min), I left with the impression that she cared and actively wanted to help with my problems, although she wants to confirm there is no psychological basis before making a referral to a teaching hospital that may be able to help me better. She might be the first doctor humble enough to admit that I may be able to receive better help somewhere else which is almost unheard of to me. She understood that if my issue was medical, it wasn't anything known by Medical Science which is why I have spent the last 3 years without answers. I have a lot of respect for her and actively recommend that anyone with Internal Medicine needs see her.

I waited a little over 2 hours to be seen. Finally they took me to a room, did my vitals.. leave for 15 mins then come back and the girl says she forgot to write them down so we do it again. Ok whatever.. I felt like I had been hit by a truck.. I knew I had step as it's a common thing for me. The doctor wouldn't listen to me, did a strep test and came back what felt like hours later.. I told them the long list of medications I'm allergic to and she still writes me a prescription I shouldn't be taking. I took it thinking "maybe the doctors right and I'll be fine" well no that wasn't the case so I called the next day and their answer was " we'll stop taking it?" OK THEN GIVE ME A NEW ONE!? They wouldn't.. and never called me back.

Slowest place to go to. I have been two times and waited both almost 2 hours. When there's only 1 other patient ahead. It is not an organized or fast moving facility and the receptionist seems to not care about her job for everytime I see her she is reading a book and eating on the clock. I do not feel this Urgent Care is the best to come to. I do not recommend.

I personally had a great experience at the urgent care. Dr. Sharp was thorough, took the time to listen, ran the appropriate tests and were all around pleasant. The wait time was supposed to be an hour and I got to the back within mins of my arrival.

The primary care side is fantastic! I love Dr. Hallegado. She takes her time and is thorough. She also listens and addresses all of your concerns as a patient.
