The elevators were spacious and well-lit. Every floor has an ice machine. Drinks and snacks have to be purchased at the lobby.
The lobby is spacious and offers excellent meeting space. I think the front desk associate said that the bar offered food in addition to alcoholic drinks and that Starbucks was available 24 hours. I'm a sucker for continental breakfasts, so it would have been nice to have one here, but I was also happy to go to the Dunkin Donuts. I did not take advantage of the other amenities, but signage indicated that there was a fitness center.
DO NOT BOOK EVENTS HERE! People pay good money for events. These events also bring guests that stay at this hotel. People that pay for events are just as entitled to "guests" to being accommodated. And that is not the case. They will change rules, get rude with paying customers and make your event WAY more complicated than it needs to be.
It's cool how the room cards only have to be hovered above the "lock" for the green light to appear; no sliding or inserting. Our room was spacious and clean. We had two queen beds. We had a lovely view of the pool (in December. Not sure if it'd be noisy in the summer months). The room amenities included a TV, alarm clock, refrigerator, and closet. For a room with double beds, I was surprised that the TV was positioned in front of one of the beds instead of between both, but everyone could watch TV fine.
The rooms are on the nicer end of standard for a chain hotel but the staff in INCREDIBLE. Everyone from the front desk to the manager and bar tenders were super friendly and incredibly accommodating. If you're staying in Jacksonville this is the only game in town
I loved my stay here. They were always helpful and very nice. The food was great, cooked in house, breakfast, lunch and dinner cooked to order. They had Starbucks Coffee and drinks all the way up to adult drinks.
We had a great stay at Courtyard by Marriott - with a great deal as well. It felt like a $200/night experience. With our AAA membership, it was actually $95 for Sat. night and $85 for Sun. night. I saw this amount online, quoted it by phone, and charged it after I stayed (no surprises).
We had a fantastic experience at this hotel and would stay there again. Hope this review helps others considering it!
If you actually stay here, you'll see this place is very lovely and modern. Perfect place to get work done and a nice location to bring my family when visiting relatives. The booths in the bistro are great when trying to work and drink your coffee in peace. I'll always stay here.
The shower was one of the best I've seen - spacious, clean, warm water, good water pressure, salon brand shampoo/conditioner, ledges for storing supplies, handle bar attached to wall - just well designed in general. Also, there was makeup remover in the bathroom. I haven't seen that before in a hotel.
