I do not recommend this hotel because hotels should not have their guests worry about ants and having them clean up such inconvenience when there shouldn't be an ant problem in the first place.
Nice, clean. If you need a temp place to stay and want to save money by cooking, this hotel is good. Plus they allow pets, reasonable fee.
However, rooms were appeared to be clean at first (considering maids only come in once a week to clean) and there was one front desk clerk who was pleasing to talk to in asks for service.
Now the bad. Roaches in all shapes and sizes and fleas. Luckily, the fleas don't bother my rabbits so much, but they love me. The bugs are the only reason why I will not give it a high rating. But, It's no reason for me to give it 1 star when I look at the good. But the bugs need to go. My 30 day stay is almost up and am looking to stay somewhere else.
First room I was given had so many ants in a peak of a floor between the bathroom and kitchen. I saw about 50 ants my first 2 full days then decided to call the front and ask for a new room because I believed It'd only get worst.
This hotel has good and bad things. I'll start with the good. The front desk is very friendly, always will answer your questions with courtesy. Free coffee(I'm a sucker for that no matter) in the foyer, They allow pets and were very lean with my furry exotics(I have two rabbits), Nice small kitchens and cute rooms, The best part was the gym! Small yes, but great for me for the price.
Room was nice just a few cobwebs on the ceiling but nothing to complain about. Service was great.
Room appeared to be clean when first checking in. And then you start to discover a nasty ant infestation within the walls and tiny crevices of the room.
2nd room looked clean as well but I still saw ants crawling...just less than the first room.
The rooms has a stove and I made bacon one morning. I left the bacon on the counter top as my boyfriend and I left for a business party for the hospital he works for. We were out for 4 hours. We came back into our room and the plate of bacon was SUBMERGED with black ants. The ants weren't only on the bacon but all over our counter top and walls of the kitchen. We had to throw it away in a bag and disinfect everything. Nearly killed over 1,000 ants that night. It was very displeasing my 10 nights staying in this hotel.
Roaches in the kitchenette and in the bathroom. Additionally the entry light does not work when you first walk in, or the light by the bed. In addition, the beds are extremely uncomfortable. They only give you two small pillows and a hard bed. I have stayed in hotels for equal cost and have had much better amenities. In addition the walls are paper thin causing it to be nearly impossible to get any rest and the non smoking rooms still smell like smoke. Overall I feel like the hotel is priced higher than it should be, with the quality of a motel instead of a hotel. If I need to stay someplace again I would rather sleep in my car than here. The only real good about this place is being close to base, downtown and the bypass; allowing for a quick access to just about anywhere you want or need to go, but it doesn't outweigh the amount of discomfort that I had with the room.
