We never gave any type of problems, almost never called to ask for repairs. It's sad a company would do that to make it impossible for a renter to find a new location.
My property was effected by Hurricane Mathew in Nov 2016 and they proactively worked with contractors and were very responsive to my questions and concerns. Their performance in overseeing repairs to my house after hurricane Mathew is just one of a few times my house has required emergency repairs and that they acted quickly to resolve the issue. They also went to my property to inspect work before making payment (not every company does this). I have to give a lot of the credit to Chelsea Kreiley their maintenance manager.
We would never recommend no one to them, specially with what they tried at the end.

The worst real estate ever. Do not do business with these people, they are rude and extremely unprofessional. Lived there on one of there property for a year, I was never late for payment, never had any issues with them up until moving out. Military service members are treated like crap and have no remorse on any kind of situation dealt with. I would not recommend even going 10 feet near the place. The property manager is even worse, she is the meanest most gruel person to ever deal with. If I can have this place shut down I would. BAD BUSINESS DO NOT RENT WITH THEM.
It took me 3 months to write this because I was so angry about what this company did to us. Home owners be advised you need to document and have everything they have "repaired" inspected by another person. We have a 50-60x2-4 foot path of glass in our back yard which I have to pay for dirt to cover because I can't pick it all up, dog feces from the last tenant, paid to repaint the home twice in two years because the first guy didn't do it right somehow that's my fault they are incompetent, and it wasn't done properly siding is rotted, a "fixed kitchen ceiling leak" that was not completely fixed so there are creases between the walls and ceiling, swelled and warped cupboards that smell, and a warped counter top. Miss matched paint, tenant removed and threw out wall shelving and did not replace it, scuff marks all over the walls, and last but not least transition strips that are secured by an inch of visible purple glue and screw screwed into the side of the door jam to hold it I place. Oh yeah and the plastic rigged light in a bedroom that was smoldering! Well done on the inspections home team. BBB Is next.
The experience when changing rental properties was not the best, actually it was very rude from their part. We needed to leave the current rental property due to our financial situation and the property manager asked us if we could stay and extend our rent time. We asked if the price could be lowered and the landlord agreed but it was still out of our current budget.
Prior to Home Team, I used another local property management company who neglected the property. I dismissed the previous company and hired Home Team. Home Team coordinated the repairs to my property, that were the result from the previous property manager's neglect, and never charged me for this service (I paid the cost of repair but not a management fee).
We informed them that we still had to leave and applied for another rental. When the new Rental Company called they had the audacity to give a bad reference with no exact details making our process for the other rental slower and difficult. Clearly it was a way for them to try to retain us in the current rental and it was a low move from them. We are good renters and decent people. I was very disappointed with this company.
We are renting off these people an we are prior military and now my husband is a officer . An they treat us with no respect and we have 3 children and they don't come when you need them (especially when they are in charge of mainteance for the house we are renting) they do things that are most convenient for them. I would choose anyone that is moving with military or anyone trying to move in this area (onslow county) avoid this company to go through to get a house!!
