This place is incredible from the time you enter the door. The staff are so warm and inviting to meet you when entering. Me, myself.... I am so busy all the time and never finding time to relax; the building is so serene with water sounds which harvest the feelings of tranquility throughout the body. The counselor is remarkable and non-judging. I tip my hat to APEX. A+ rating from me, and by the way, I am a hard person to please. :-)
Everyone there is so welcoming and they are all there to help you. Atmosphere is very calm and relaxing, it feels a lot like a home instead of a hospital or mental facility, like others in town. They have a quiet room its my favorite sometimes before or after session i go in there just to relax my mind. I recommend this place
I absolutely LOVE this place! The counselors are so professional and knowledgeable. The staff are welcoming, loving and non-judgmental. One could not expect a better wellness and holistic experience. Apex Therapeutic Services in Jacksonville has met and exceeded every one of my personal expectations. This place simply rocks and is such a great additional to Jacksonville, NC and its surrounding area. Massage, expressive therapy, yoga, nutrition, counseling for adults, families, kids is all there in one location! I love it there.
It’s a bit ridiculous that they don’t accept any insurances. Makes it hard to seek treatment if you can’t afford to pay out of pocket.
This place should have never been in business. No wonder they are shutting down. Where do I begin with the problems I have had here? Well to start, the front desk staff has always been very rude. Instead of greeting patients with a friendly , "Good afternoon!" or "Welcome!" I was greeted with a rude "Whats your name?" Seriously? Thats the first thing you say to someone battling depression, anxiety, PTSD or some other mental illness???? I was also called once to remind me of an appointment, I showed up to the appointment and according to the staff, i didn't have an appointment. They were unapologetic and rude. Lastly for my concerns with the front desk staff, I had an appointment on the 22nd of February. I showed up to my appointment 10 minutes early and tried entering the building and it was locked.So i sat in my car waiting for my appointment. A few minutes later I receive a phone call from Apex asking if I was there person sitting in the parking lot. I confirmed and the girl on the phone proceeded to LAUGH!!!! yes you heard me right she laughed and the preceded to tell me that my therapist was sick so my appointment was cancelled. Im not so sure what she found so funny about this because I sure didn't find anything amusing. They conveniently rescheduled my appointment without telling me also!! I was already planning on not coming back so this surprise appointment was unwanted. My last big complaint about this company is the fact that the suddenly shut down. According to whoever runs this horrible place, this was posted inside the building. I don't know where because I would walk in, sit in the waiting room and sometimes immediately be brought back for my appointment. There are soooooo many things posted to read, i didn't know it was mandatory to read all the papers they had posted everywhere. When I made my last appointment which was today, no one mentioned it would be my last appointment here because they were shutting down!!! Insane!!!! According to their website, they are currently shut down but when I called she said my appointment was still on for today. I cancelled my appointment and was told "Good luck, I hope you find what you are looking for" Heres what I am looking for, a caring staff, good service, and a company that can actually stay open!!! Now I may be nit picking here but whoever decorated this building knows nothing about anxiety. The cluttered decorations seriously made me feel so anxious and unrelaxed. They have these stupid sound machines in all the rooms that are so obnoxious. The staff hates them, they would tell me patients hate them so why freakin have them!!! This place probably made my depression and anxiety worse. I pray to God that people who are worse off than I am didn't receive the same care I did because this kind of treatment can be detrimental to people with serious problems. I am disgusted!
