If you're going to a mental health clinic have you considered not shaking hands may be because people have their own phobias, likes, and dislikes?
I have C-PTSD and I understand fist bumps. Dr. Ahlberg is so far from unprofessional that the comments are laughable.
This office is absolutely wonderful and after forty years of not being able to live a normal life to due to child and teen trauma I am grateful to have found them. So much so that I am moving six hours away this month and will be driving down for my appointments.
Dr. Ahlberg is phenomenal. I'd like to address some of the negative reviews here.
Dr. Ahlberg is one of the most caring and empathic Doctors in Jacksonville, NC. I have been coming to him for 5 years! If you have anything going on with your life, tell him. He may be fast but he is just being proficient and not making other patients wait a long time. If you need a longer appointment, tell the girls at the front and they will gladly help you. He has a huge freezer of ice creams that are name brands and it’s “cold therapy” after your appt. He works 24/7 and is always there for his patients. Love all the Medical Assistants and the girls at the front desk! They are all so sweet!
Dr Ahlberg and his office are amazing
You aren't simply talking to an assistant, you are talking to a trained professional working under Dr. Ahlberg that assists in all of us being able to be seen in a very busy office. They are trained in understanding meds, knowing what helps and doesn't help, and quite frankly all of them are pretty darn amazing.
Dr. David Ahlberg is a shining example of a good Doctor. He is caring and hard working. Feel free to go in and make your own opinion, however I have gone to many doctors and he is my favorite.
This Dr. is amazing. It's very hard to find good Dr's in Jacksonville, let alone a good mental health professional in all of America., and he is one of them. Anyone who comments negatively has never worked in mental health or gone to a psychiatrist before, because this Dr takes the time to actually help his patients, he gets to know you. He doesn't just shove medication down your throat and tell you to come back in a month to see how it is affecting you. Normally, psychiatrists just give you meds, and you are out the door. NOT THIS PLACE. They are very good at what they do, very caring. Thank you!
