Fiancée had hip replacement two and a half years ago. She's been having immense amounts of pain in the area so we had the usual works done (bone scan, x-ray, blood work, etc.). THREE different doctors say her new joint is loosening and the blood work suggests an infection. Scully came in the room for less than five minutes and said "everything is fine" then prescribed pain pills.
Experienced surgeon, to the point and reviews all medical information. There is no need for a lengthy appointment as this Dr is well versed and explains everything clearly in a short period of time. This is a very busy practice, but they have fit me in for common post surgery problems on the same day that I've called twice now, once to change my cast since swelling after surgery was making it pinch in places and the second to check my stitches. Dr Scully is a surgeon, not pain management or a general practitioner. Pain med seekers need not apply.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Did my boyfriend's(disabled veteran) total knee revision, and what others have said about him not taking time to talk to you, and being rude is 100% true. He was like that after surgery and was even rude at follow up visit, prescribed opiates for pain then refused to refill them, leaving my bf in severe pain. Knee has stayed swollen for 2 weeks now after surgery. This Dr. Used Staples to close the incision and they looked like cheap ones from an office stapler done very poorly. Definitely would not recommend anyone use this Dr.! Because he doesn't seem to care about patients at all.
My treatment so far has been excellent and Dr. Scully has been a true advocate on my behalf fighting with Workers Compensation to ensure I get the proper treatment for my injury which they have not wanted or cared to treat properly.
Short, no relief, no diagnosis, waste of my time.
